You will receive in-house training, so experience is not required. We are looking for that unique person who is enthusiastic, passionate, critical and driven. In short, ‘the employee with passion’ (for the long term) who can complement our sanding team in the workshop, combined with the assembly of our fender systems in the field, and who may eventually grow into another/management position.

Sanding operative / assembly worker

Job description:

As a member of the sanding/assembly team, you will mainly be involved in sanding/fine-tuning fenders. In addition, you will regularly be deployed to assemble our fender systems on site. Your position carries a great deal of responsibility. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for ensuring that our fender systems look and fit perfectly. You are meticulous, enjoy order and tidiness in your workplace and appreciate short lines of communication. You can handle the responsibility and freedom to carry out your work according to company protocol, but also according to your own insights. You have an affinity with technology and production. You will also carry out interim checks on the sanded fenders. There is an opportunity to advance in your position to become a sanding team leader or to take on one of the other positions within our company.

Your duties include:

• Sanding our ship fender systems to perfection
• Installing our fender systems
• Performing interim checks on the sanded fender systems with regard to radius and dimensions

Job requirements:

• Eager to learn
• Handy with odd jobs
• Eye for detail
• Experience with sanding is not required
• Diploma is not required
• Able to work accurately and precisely
• Minimum driving licence B
• Proficiency in spoken and written Dutch and/or English
• No 9 to 5 mentality
• Our company is located in Wieringerwerf

As a member of the sanding/assembly team, you must be flexible, accurate and able to work well in a team. In addition, you must be hands-on, stress-resistant, proactive, responsible, motivating, service-oriented, sociable and have good communication skills.
