Lightweight, strong and flexible marine fender systems

Are you skilled and motivated, and looking to join a fast growing company specializing in the development and production of patented fender systems for maritime transport? Then we are looking for you.

You will receive in-house training, so no experience is required.  We are looking for that unique person who is passionate, critical and driven and very handy to join our workshop. In short, "The employee/apprentice  with some technical insight" (for the long term) who can strengthen our super motivated team.

General Workshop Operative

Job description:

As a production employee, you are mainly involved in building/sanding/fine-tuning/Fenders. In your position, you have a great deal of responsibility. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the perfect appearance and shape of our fender systems. You are meticulous, like order and tidiness in your workplace and appreciate short lines of communication. You can handle the responsibility and freedom to carry out your work according to the company's protocol but at your own discretion. You have an affinity with technology and production. You also carry out interim checks on the produced fenders.

Skills
As a general operative, you need to be flexible, critical, a team player and have good problem-solving skills. You also need to be hard-working, capable of working under pressure, proactive, commercially aware, responsible, motivating, service-minded, and have good social and communication skills. 

Your duties include:

  • Learning to produce fenders
  • Performing interim checks on the sanded fender systems regarding radius and dimensions
  • Supporting your colleagues during all common activities

Job requirements:

  • Eager to learn
  • Handy with odd jobs
  • Eye for detail
  • Experience with sanding is not required
  • Diploma is not required
  • Ability to work accurately and dimensionally
  • At least in possession of a B driving license
  • Command of the Dutch and/or English language in word and writing
  • No 9 to 5 mentality
     

As a production employee you must be flexible, accurate and able to work well in a team. In addition, you must know how to tackle things, be stress-resistant, proactive, responsible, motivating, service-oriented, social and have good communication skills.
